The Small Print
     (You are advised not to leave anything at the festival ground overnight, neither the site nor the park are enclosed)
2.   The Pitches
Are all on grass
We do not supply gazebos, tables or chairs, except for tables in the marquee which are included in the booking fee, unless they have been booked previously
(Stallholders arriving on foot can hire a chair in advance).
Please add this to your fee and send a deposit cheque which will be returned after the event
3.   All vehicles
Need a permit to enter the park
(These will be arranged in June)
Stallholders should arrive from 9.30, (10.00 for the marquee)  unload, then park in the designated parking area as directed by stewards before 11.00 am.
All stallholders are asked to stay until at least 5.00 pm
(4)   Food or Drink for consumption at the festival
Can only be sold by stallholders booking as caterers for the weekend)
Please contact us for a different booking form
You will be asked for copies of relevant documentation, including a current food hygene certificate, and evidence of local authority registration
(5)   Food to be taken away from the site
(Cakes, jams etc) can be sold from a standard stall
If the products are home made the stallholder will need to send copies of the documents mentioned above with the booking form
Small cakes and savouries should be sold four or more to a pack
(6)   Charities
Can fundraise and campaign, in the close vicinity of their stall
Due to lack of space, leafleting or collecting in the marquee may not take place other at your table
(7)   Insurance
In accordance with the London Borough of 'Barnet’s Terms and Conditions for use of Parks and Open Spaces' stallholders must arrange their own public liability insurance including a £5m indemnity limit.

Please send a copy of your insurance certificate with your booking form if possible. If the insurance needs renewing nearer the date of the event, send a copy as soon as possible
The trustees of the East Barnet Festival will not take responsibility for any products or equipment which may cause harm to the public, nor for money or personal possessions that are lost, stolen or damaged
We therefore recommend you arrange cancellation and other insurance.
(8)    Cancellation
We regret that, as a general rule, your booking fee cannot be returned, either if you are unable to attend, or if the festival is cancelled for any reason including bad weather or inaccessibility of the site. We therefore recommend you arrange your own cancellation insurance.
(9)   Payment
Full payment is required in advance of the event
Your place will only be guaranteed once you have paid the booking fee.
(See bottom of form for payment deadline)
(10)  Selection of stalls
The number of stalls selling products (in the same category is at the discretion of the organizers)
They reserve the right to decline an application
(11)   Product Safety
The Trading Standards Officer in your own local authority can offer advice on current European legislation. Contact details are available via a postcode search at :- http://www.tradingstandards.gov.uk
New Toys Should bear the CE mark. This is not necessary for second–hand toys or those handmade by individuals, though these must still meet the legal standards
Stalls offering Therapy / Cosmetic Services including Face Painting, should supply us with evidence of special skills training or experience with the booking form.
These must be displayed on stalls that offer services involving massaging, touching the skin, or hair of members of the public
For minors aged up to eighteen a consent form is desirable, to be signed by a parent or carer
Henna painters should send in advance, and bring with them, a list of the ingredients used
Only traditional brown henna should be used
You must not offer for sale secondhand electrical or toiletry goods or counterfeit products etc.
On discovery stall holders will be asked to leave. No refund will be made of booking fees
(12)   All stalls should display
Name, Charity / Business number and Contact details.
(13)  Special Offer There are special arrangements available for local crafts-people coming to the festival for the first time. Please get in touch.
